Far Cry 5 is the latest free game you can test out for yourself, courtesy of Ubisoft. The pretty-darn-fun 2018 story of cultists in Hope County will be available for you to download and play, free of charge, for this weekend only.
Sadly you won’t be able to keep the game, and it’s PC only, but hey, a (temporary) free game is a (temporary) free game.
Spend some time in Hope County with the #FarCry5 free weekend on PC! 🔥

Over on the “free” section of the Ubisoft website, the company explains the promo as follows: “Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as the Project at Eden’s Gate. Stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed, and his siblings, the Heralds, to spark the fires of resistance.
“The game will be fully playable from May 29th at 14:00 to May 31st at 19:00 (local time). Start your download Far Cry 5 right now and be ready when servers open.

“Once the free weekend is over your progression will be carried over if you purchase the game.”
